Clare Relay 2016
As part of our fundraising efforts this year the Clare Crusaders Children’s Clinic is organising a Sponsored Relay from Loop Head to Killaloe. The relay will involve teams completing the 140Km route on 23rd of July 2016.
The proposed route includes Loop Head, Cross, Carrigaholt, Kilkee, Kilrush, Cooraclare, Kilmihil, Lissycasey, Ennis, Barefield, Spancil Hill, Tulla, Bodyke, Tuamgraney, Ogonnelloe and ending in Killaloe.

Relay setup
The relay will be set up in legs of 10k.
Time allotted to each leg to be 1 hour.
Running teams:
13 Teams
Team Captain to be appointed to each leg.
Teams to consist of 5 runners.
Team to stick together at all times,
Teams can complete more than one leg during the day.
One member of the team to carry a phone.
Team captains
Team captain to get 4 more people to run with them.
Team captain to ensure that all team members are at the appropriate location at the
correct time.
Team Captain to arrange transport to start point and back to start point after the run
(some cars to be parked at the start and end of the legs).
Support crew
A water car including a first aider to be on the road at all times.
Water car to take photos as the runners pass through villages and at any popular landmarks and update social
media.

F.A.Q.
Will you be strict on time as some of the non marathon runners cover 10k in over 60 minutes?
No were allowing an hour but if one group take more than an 60 minutes then other groups that are slightly faster can go under an hour but the fastest time if were running on schedule will be 60 minutes.

Not every leg of the relay is 10k. I have had to slightly alter the change locations in the interest of safety.
Please make sure you know where your start point is.
Please be at the start point 15 minutes before you are due to start
The relay will not be stopping at each point so people have to be ready to run went the relay arrives.
Talk to your running team and decide who is parting at the start and who is parking at the finish. The people parking at the start should collect the people parking at the end and transport then to the start. Following the run, the people parked at the finish will transport the people parked at the start to their cars.
Please park safely as no respectability can be accepted to damage to any vehicles.
It is the responsibility of each runner to behave in a safe manor on the road and no respectability can be accepted for any injuries
